TOS Change/Modification
NewsOur TOS (Terms of Service) have been modified and are effective today (8-28-2010). The change is to our Suspension/Termination Policy and specifies that if an account gets terminated, we will no longer recreate it just to recreate it. We simply do not have the time and resources to go back in and recreate accounts that have been terminated for one reason or another. Before, we would simply just recreate the account after an account holder contacted us about their site. The best way to avoid this is to check your site daily and to contact us immediately if your site is suspended for some reason. We leave accounts suspended for up to 1 week (7 days) and then terminate it. 1 week is ample time to see if your site is suspended.

This will also include new accounts that have not uploaded files within 7 days. We do not suspend first, we immediately terminate. This is posted all over this site and when you receive your welcome email, it states it in there as well. If your new account was not setup within 7 days, it will be terminated and we will not recreate it. We just do not have the time to keep up with stuff like this and there are plenty of others who want the hosting as well. We, unfortunately, must get more aggressive with this.

New Forum Features
NewsI have been working on some new forum features and they are now live! The features will include a better tracking system for problem reports and questions. Basically I have added in a "Thread Status" feature that will show the current status of the thread like if it was Answered, More Input Needed, No Trouble Found, etc. This will help us admins tremendously in knowing if a thread is done and there is nothing more that needs answered or looked at. Originally, I hard coded this for my site and thought it would be a great addon for this one.

Here is a thread (below) to follow up with changes, explanations of changes and features of the new system!

Service Updates
JournalBecause of the PM abuse I have no choice but to be blunt.

What Comes Next?
JournalWe have gone through many changes in the last several months. Most of all I want to thank everyone who has stayed through the upgrades and changes. Yes it was kind of stressful but it was for the best. You will notice ivpshost.com and 4fx.biz are now parked and display this news page. When the new server 2 is ready I will be using different domains for the name servers.

Personal business accounts is a new service I am looking at. There are hundreds of providers offering unlimited paid plans (there is always a limit) so this seems like the most logical step to take. The objective is to offer solid business services on a more personable level. There is no set date when it will start but it is on the agenda.

Our free hosting services will remain in place and we are still accepting applications. The need for free hosting quality is understood but we are no longer responding to private messages asking about it. There are simply to many and that is not what our PM service is for.

If your application gets approved you will be notified.
Most of migration is over!
NewsAs posted numerous times (and sent via email to every Server2 account holder), we were needing new applications to get migrated over to Server1. There were plenty of them and kept us fairly busy! It seems to have slowed down significantly now on Server2 to Server1 apps and we seem to be somewhat caught up (gasp!). However, there are still numerous accounts on Server2 that we have not seen apps for. As of this moment, Server2 no longer has the top priority anymore and will still need to fill out a hosting application to get over to Server1 and will be treated as any other application. Just because you have a Server2 account will NOT guarantee you get a Server1 account now. We have sent the warning out well in advance!

We will be focusing on a new business model and services provided. With that being said, not all new applications will get approved. We are still going to follow our very strict guidelines and policies when it comes to application approvals and TOS enforcement. Server2 is still running (as of this post) and we have no clue how long it will run. It was supposed to have been shut down the first of the month. However, I am grateful it is/was still running as that helped lower the stress level of getting accounts migrated!
