FAQ: Suspensions/Terminations
Why was my account suspended?
More than likely the site broke our Terms of Service (TOS) somewhere. We have a fairly strict policy of what we do not allow and adhere to it. Your account may also be suspended for using resource intensive scripts or email spamming.
How do I know if my account is suspended?
If your account is suspended, your site will display a custom 365-Hosting suspension page instead of your normal website. You will also not have access to cpanel, ftp or email. Please note - we do not necessarily contact you if your account gets suspended! It is up to you to check your site often and contact us. We recommend checking your site periodically anyways in case of server issues or anything else that could have happened.
My site is suspended...what do I do?
If your account was suspended, the first thing to do is contact us! We do not normally send out emails to account holders to inform of the suspension. You can contact us via email (info@365-hosting.net) or individually via a site PM or forum (must be logged in). Please include your domain name and cpanel username when contacting us so we know what account to look up.
What do I do to get my account un-suspended?
When you contact us, we will let you know when and why your account was suspended. We will also include any steps that need done before the account will be unsuspended. In some cases, we may need to unsuspend it first so you can fix it and that is fine. We will go with an "honor system" that you will fix any and all issues with it. In most cases, we will note your domain and check it within a couple days again.
Can I back up my site while it is suspended?
No. If your account is suspended, you have no access to cpanel, ftp or email. If you want to back up your site files and/or databases, we have to unsuspend first.
Why do you terminate accounts?
We will terminate accounts primarily if they have been suspended for 1 week (7 days). We will also terminate new accounts that have not been set up within 7 days (this would include not logging in to cpanel at least once or have not uploaded files). If your site continually breaks our TOS and has been suspended numerous times, we reserve the right to terminate your account with or without warning.
Can I get a backup of my site if it has been terminated?
No. Once your account has been terminated, all files and/or databases are destroyed on the server end. We can not even obtain a copy for you. This is generally why we suspend accounts first and not immediately terminate. We know that some sites have been around for years and have a lot of files and large databases. However, if you do not contact us during suspension and your account gets terminated...you will lose all files/databases.
Can my account get reinstated if terminated?
We will no longer recreate accounts if they were terminated. We have seen an increase in accounts getting terminated and then the account holder wanting it recreated. Sometimes this has been a month after the account was terminated. This tells us that the site is not used or checked on often enough.
This simply uses too much of our resources and time to go back and forth trying to figure it all out. So we will no longer recreate accounts that have been terminated unless there is a good, valid reason and that will be case by case. We still reserve the right to not setup the account again.

Why such strict restrictions for hosting?
It is not that we want to "control" what you have on your site. We still need to abide by copyright laws and on certain levels, we are responsible being the hosting provider. We need to look out for our best interest as well and not open ourselves to a lawsuit. We also need to look out for our hosting server health which is why we do not allow resource excessive scripts, IRC bots, email spamming and the like. If you have a certain script you are unsure of, you can certainly contact us.
My account was setup 7 days ago and I can not access it, why?
If you did not upload any files within 7 days of your account being created...chances are it was terminated and that is why you can not access cpanel, email or ftp.
In the account creation email you got from us, it specifies that you must upload files/content within 7 days or the account could get terminated.
If that happens, the account is gone and you would need to start the application for hosting process all over again.
